Its founders are in the food grains business for three generations now. They are successfully carrying forward the legacy of M/s Hardeo Sahai Mangat Ram, who had been trading food grains in the whole of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand for the last four decades. Today it is one of the biggest rice manufacturer & wholesale rice supplier in the Northern India. This is a result of careful procurement of paddy combined with Japanese technology of milling, resulting in highest level of quality and complete nutrition.

The name ‘Basmati Rice’ is a combination of Bas & Mati. ‘Bas’ in Hindi language means ‘aroma’ and ‘Mati’ means ‘full of’ hence the word Basmati i.e. full of aroma. In India, Basmati Rice is grown in northern regions, mainly in Punjab, Haryana, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand since thousands of years. This rice comes with an average grain length of 7.2 mm - 7.3mm. Basmati Rice is available as Brown Rice, Raw Rice or White Rice, Steam Rice, Sella Rice or Parboiled Rice & Golden Sella Rice in India. Basmati Rice is an ideal companion of Indian curries and is an integral part of Biryani and Pilaf dishes.

We have one of the largest rice warehouses in Uttarakhand (India). The stock of different varieties of rice is stored here in a pest controlled environment after processing under hygienic conditions.
